Technology has become such a prevalent part in this generation, that even chewing gum companies such as Wrigley have implemented it into their marketing strategies. In 2007 Wrigleys launched a new brand "5" attempting to rejuvenate teenager's tastebuds back to chewing gum. Describing their product as "Stimulat[ing] your Senses," Wrigley claims, "5 is a groundbreaking sugar-free stick gum product. The mouth-freshening gum delivers long-lasting flavor and a unique experience. The sleek 5 envelope created the next great packaging enhancement for stick gum. Each distinctive envelope has an eye-catching design and holds 15 sticks. Now available in the new Vortex flavor." Titling its' new flavor "Vortex" adheres to the company's gaming marketing tactic...

Mr. Ian Magee, a 63 year old resident of Williton, Somerset, England, has come up with a simple, yet effective, way to slow down the traffic speeding through his local neighborhood. He took a bird feeder box that was the same size, shape, and color of the traffic cameras in England and placed it on his street. His idea has worked, not only slowing down everyday drivers but ambulances as well.

With all the negative media out there these days some things can get lost. That is why it is so inspiring to see people like 23 year old Sam Fox from Rhode Island who will be partaking in the Michael J. Fox Foundation...

Thanks to PAMELA (Payload for Antimatter Exploration and Light-nuclei Astrophysics), the first satellite designed to detect both antimatter and dark matter, physicist's theories of Earth being surrounded by a thin layer of antimatter has substantially strengthened. After reading an article in the LA Times entitled "Lost Dr. Seuss Stories to be Published in September," I could not help but be bothered by the journalist's diction. The stories were not lost, they were just not published in a book. The stories were not discovered upon his death in 1991 (like that of the work of Emily Dickinson in 1886)  instead, "The Bippolo Seed" consists of stories published in Redbook during the early 1950s. Therefore, they are not lost; perhaps they could be regarded as forgotten or overlooked, but even that may be a stretch...

As an avid fan of Captain Morgan's spiced rum this news was quite exciting to hear. Archaeologists from Texas State University believe they may have found the pirate's 340 year old sunken ship. The makers of the spiced rum even took the trek out to the waters off the coast of Panama near the Lajas Reef with the Texas State archaeological team to see what was going on. I'll be sure to keep my unpatched eye on the look out for any updates on this story.

Cowards are the men who cannot live unless they destroy what others hold dear. It is despicable and disgusting. In this particular article you will find no factual base. It is simply a rant and an opinion of a man who considers himself a good citizen. And to the future killers of the world, please go f&?@ yourself...

Today’s socially centered technologies are unbelievable. Twenty years ago the Internet began it’s transformation from command line messaging to the world wide web. Those were the very first steps to the world of social networking as we know it now. Around that time, cell phones also really started to pick up steam, and within the last 10 years cell phones have gone from what we dub “smartphones” to what we should dub “handheld computers”.

Since 2006 there have been images sent back from an orbiter circling Mars that show water trenches that look a lot like fingers running through sand. These images could provide the first proof that there is running water on the planet Mars. Before this, only ice has been proven to be on Mars at both of its' poles. Since all known forms of life require water, this could lead to the finding of primitive life forms. Aliens as you humans like to call them...

HIV. Three letters that can end a life. It's a disease that we all fear whether consciously or not. We all have a moment of holding our breaths when the results of a blood test comes back. It's normal. We, as humans, are ultimately all heading towards the same fate. We're just coming in from different directions....
