With all the negative media out there these days some things can get lost. That is why it is so inspiring to see people like 23 year old Sam Fox from Rhode Island who will be partaking in the Michael J. Fox Foundation...

Starting in the fall of 2011, Fox will be running/hiking the entire 2,650 mile length of the Pacific Crest Trail in an attempt to break the current speed record of 65 days in order to raise awareness and funding for Parkinson's disease research. In honor of his mother, who suffers from Parkinson's, Fox will be covering more than 40 miles a day for two months with an average daily elevation gain and loss of over 16,000 vertical feet.

Fox's goal is to raise $250,000.00 for the charity and although he has raised  $71,840.37, this former member of Yale's Track and Field still has a bit to go. With this in mind, you should check out runwhileyoucan.org and donate; any little bit helps!
